Position Needed: General Volunteer
We require volunteers in a variety of capacities: those who wish to take a more active leadership role in the Club can Chair a committee followed by coordinators within a committee. In addition, we need volunteers on an as-needed basis for events as they come up and roles vary from set-up, check-in, parking coordination, etc.
For the General Volunteer category, we usually like to know if you've volunteered in the past and in what capacity, what you enjoy doing (talking to people, directing cars, doing things from home, indoors only, group volunteer roles, etc.), how much time can you contribute and when and how often (as needed for 2 hours, weekly for 4 hours, monthly for X, etc.)
Position Needed: Chair & Coordinator
Responsible for hosting or appointing specific event chairpersons to host all of the social events of the Region including dinners (installation, progressive, etc.) brunches, picnics, and parties. Coordinate scheduling of all social events with the Activities Coordinator and the Board of Directors. Work with Region oÿcers to host New Member Social. Ensure all social events are conducted in accordance with the General Event Guidelines. Be available to the general Region membership to answer questions and provide information regarding social events, such as cost, location, and annual events.
Position Needed: Chair & Tour Master(s)
The purpose of the Tour Committee is to plan, organize and execute tours for members. This includes brainstorming possible tours throughout the year ensuring we come satisfy a variety of driving styles (leisurely cruises, twists in the mountains, etc.), interests (short drives, destination-bound, landscape-appreciation, etc.) and locations (in-town, local trips, nearby-etc.). Tours consist of short, single-day events as well as multi-day events and may involve partnering with nearby regions. This role includes keeping an eye on new locations to explore, ensuring we spread out the drives to cover the entire region and beyond. In addition, this role involves recruiting and training Tour Masters (those who organize a tour), requesting insurance, hosting driver meetings, and following up with post-event surveys. This role may also include coordinating meals and lodging as applicable.

The role of the Volunteer Committee is to ensure the Club has a consistent pool of engaged volunteers to support the variety of activities which require volunteers. The committee is responsible for actively recruiting, training and engaging new volunteers as well as learning about each person, their skills, capabilities, strenghts and willingness to support. The Chairperson works closely with the Board to determine which events require support and at what capacity and in turn organizing the pool of volunteers most suited to support the project(s) needed. This is a consistent and active role.

Process new membership applications, including the mailing of application forms to prospective new members, signing oÿcial applications received and forwarding to the National PCA Oÿce, and sending a copy of Region bylaws and Region logo to all new members. Process membership information and data on new members, dropped members and transfers as follows: additions, changes and drops sent to the Region data processing chairperson by the selected day of the month. Additions and deletions are sent to the newsletter editor or distribution manager by the selected day of each month. All changes recorded on the Membership Chairperson and President’s card files. Insure all Region members are enrolled in “eMailer” program. Record members’ renewal dates and drop members who have not renewed after a two-month grace period. Coordinate notices to renewing members with eMailer program. Prepare a monthly report on monies due from National for new members and member renewals. Send a copy to the Region President. On a monthly basis, service PCA Information Boards located at various shops in the area, replenishing membership forms and posting the calendar of events. MS: the above description applies to the Membership Director and most of that work is now automated. Here are some of the things that would support the Membership role: Call new members to welcome them to the Club and answer any questions. Call Test Drive members, welcome them and ask what they're looking for in singing up for membership and guide them in buying their first Porsche. Call members whose membership has lapsed and attempt to bring them back or conduct and exit survey. In addition, for those who frequently participate in car events, engage with prospective members and share info about the Club with the goal to recruit new members.

Coordinate scheduling of Driver’s Education events with Activities Director. 8 Review Drivers Education Minimum Standards 2009, located at https://www.pca.org/sites/default/files/MinimumStandardTechForm.docx See Minimum Standard DE Tech Inspection Form, pages 150-151. Submit all safety issues to the Region’s Safety Committee for resolution; implement decisions. Event Chair to complete and submit Post Event Report (page 152). Ensure Observer Report - Drivers Ed is completed (pages 138-139). Ensure Incident Report is prepared (pages 146-147), if incident occurs. Ensure that all rules and regulations for the specific Driver’s Education event are distributed to entrants prior to the event and implemented accordingly. Provide review and input on Zone Driver’s Education rules to the Region Zone Coordinator. Be available to Region membership to answer questions about Driver’s Education events.

Propose subjects for potential technical classes and sessions to the Board of Directors and Activities Coordinator.Coordinate scheduling of technical sessions with Region Activities Coordinator. Insure that event is posted on the website.Contact potential sponsors for presentations and make arrangements for conducting the session. Select person(s) to co chair or assist in conducting events as necessary. Ensure all technical sessions are conducted in accordance with the General Event Guidelines. Some tech sessions may require prior insurance application, waivers, Post Event Report Form and Observer’s Report for Tech Session. Ensure Incident Report is prepared, if incident occurs. Assist person(s) making presentations when required. Arrange for refreshments during the technical session. Established policy is for the Region to furnish refreshments when we have requested the session and for the sponsor to furnish refreshments when they are requesting the event. Any deviation must be approved by the Board.

Maintain the Goodie Store to sell Porsche-related items to PCA members as a low cost service to those members and to raise money for the Region’s General Fund.Submit quarterly report to Board detailing: Purchases, Sales, Inventory, Cost of items. Establish pricing to reflect a targeted mark up of 10% over actual cost, including all shipping. Maintain a separate business checking account and financial records including accounts receivable and payable on a current basis. Attend major events and display items for sale. Respond to mail orders in a timely manner. Evaluate the needs of the members to provide an expanded selection of items as appropriate. The role of the social media committee is to ensure the Club's social media assets are consistent. This includes curating content, posting pre- and post-event photography, posting announcements and events, etc. while keeping in line and with the vision of the Club's new brand guidelines. Ideally, the Chair will put together a quarterly startegy and roll out the plan. Social media should also accout for recruiting opportunities, engaging with comments and questions, engaging with other accounts to increase our visibility, etc. BRETT: if you can help me develop this, I'd appreciate it.

We are looking for someone to assist us with management and further development of our website. Our website is built on a fully custom layout on the Webflow platform. You must have an understanding of how Webflow development, CMS structures, and elements work in order to make any necessary changes/updates/edits to our web pages. This includes adding new events, editing and adding new galleries, etc.

The purpose of this role is to support the Board in documenting the various roles and responsibilities in order to cut down on training and redundancies. The vision is to create as much self-serve documentation as possible in order to ensure we cover all topics needed in their full capacity and update it as needed. This could also be referred to as the Policy & Procedures Committee.

The purpose of the Advertising Committee is to generate interest in partner advertising for the Club magazine/website and coordinate all aspects of the role including researching and outreach to potential advertisers, coordinating advertising options, intake of advertising materials, coordinating with webmaster and/or editor for publication of ads, coordinating with Treasurer for proper billing and collections.

The role of the location scout is to regularly research, explore and audit potential venues for Club events from restaurants to cars & coffee facilities, to Concours locations and photoshoot opportunities, and more as requested by the Board.
Position Needed: Chair & Restaurant Scout/Coordinator
The role of this Committee is to actively research, test and select venues where the Club could have a meal throughout the LA region boundaries and beyond. This requires ensuring ample self-parking spaces, individual checks, a discrimate standard quality of food and, to a degree trendiness. The Chair will maintain a list of potential restaurants throughout Los Angeles for breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and social events.
