Some of you may have met Bruce Powers' neighbors Paul and Carolyn Schley at his August Summer Bash.
Paul and his brother, Mark, have built a very interesting museum to display their accomplishments in the world of VW drag racing. They set many records with their unique cars that they designed, engineered and built. Along the way they pioneered modifications that were then incorporated into parts sold to the public.
All the cars, displays, and memorabilia are professionally presented and worthy of the time to view.
But this is going to be something that is very intimate and super cool. Paul, Mark, and Carolyn Schley will be narrating the various pictures and displays. The stories are original, from the horses mouth, and intimate.
See and hear from the brothers how their minds worked, the imagination and innovation they implemented to achieve history in the drag racing world. They have an incredible display of “speed shop” VW gear all pioneered by the Schley brothers. See the Empi Lightning Bug, the first VW drag car to go 10 seconds in the quarter mile, among other cool cars. See memorabilia that cannot be seen anyplace else. All arranged for viewing in a highly curated manner. Listen to Mark and Paul Schley tell many of their stories about their experiences achieving world records, escaping death, and being in the middle of history in the drag racing world.
It will be an incredible experience if you are one of the few that are able to attend.
After the tour we have gourmet burgers from Bombdiggity and a very private tasting of Bruce Powers’ Chateau du Coeur wines.
